One of the most notable pieces to the “welcome feel” you get when you come to One-Eyed Mike’s is its staff. This isn’t a job to the employees that work here. This is their family. This is their life. The bar feels like their living room to them. If you have always wanted to have that “Cheers” feeling at your favorite hangout, you’ll find it here. One of the owners, Michael Maraziti (One-Eyed Mike) or Shane Fullerton, is always somewhere in the building (if not both).
This is a hands-on operation for them. How can you ensure that the business is up to standard if you’re not there? Both Mike and Shane spent their careers gaining loads of restaurant knowledge working for major corporations. It shows in things like the quality of their food, their attention to detail, even down to the cleanliness of their restrooms. But one thing they wanted to leave behind was the corporate mentality. So on a wing and a prayer, a shoestring and a dream, these two restaurateurs decided to go for it. Mike really does have two eyes though so you’ll have to stop in to get the story behind the name.
We can’t forget to mention Duke, the faithful bar dog who is always there to greet you when you walk in the door or welcoming you to come in looking out the front window.
Behind the bar you'll find some of Fell's Point's most appreciated bartenders. Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name. Once you get to know these guys, you’re hooked on the place!! You can tell that they appreciate your business, that it is important to them that you are here, having a great time, and leave happy every time. They take the time to meet and greet anyone and everyone. They all realize that the public simply has too many choices to be indifferent to their guests. At this place you feel wanted, recognized and appreciated: That’s what they’re all about.
