One way One-Eyed Mike’s creates their friendly, “everybody knows everybody” atmosphere is the World’s First Grand Marnier Club. Along with friend Lee Hilliard, this idea was conceived by Shane and Mike prior to opening in the summer of ’03. The Grand Marnier Club is all about camaraderie, socializing and memorable times.
When signing up for the club a bottle of Grand Marnier is reserved on your behalf, in an assigned space on the shelf. After joining the club that bottle’s consumption is only controlled by the member. So when you’re at One-Eyed Mike’s, you call the shots so to speak. You have your own reserved bottle. If you want to bring in all of your friends and say “This round’s on me” or simply sip one by yourself, you’re in charge. The GM Club has an original set of bylaws, voted on by the charter membership, a monthly newsletter and monthly meetings. Anyone can join and everyone is welcome.
We have members that are fanatical about Grand Marnier and we have members that, before the club, had never even tried it. Not only do we have local members that live here in Baltimore, but our membership reaches places as far as New York, Ohio, Nevada, Florida and Munich, Germany and of course Paris, France. They all just want to be a part of something special and this club fits just right.
